While working for CapitMedia, the digital agency now operating in Montreal as Merchant North, the social media content creator approached the design department to assist in making Instagram templates specifically for sports to help grow Bovada.lv's social media footprint. The art director chose me for this project because I specialize in creating templates that allow for easy handoffs to other designers and because of my vast knowledge of sports. The goal was to start in the summer and launch these templates in time for the NFL pre-season. The goal was smashed, and the project was completed in approximately two weeks, and Instagram went live that first day of pre-season football.
This became my baby. Regardless of how busy I was with other high-end projects, I would always take the time to make Instagram posts for the Social Media team. After a few weeks of collaboration, we created a process to get as many images out as possible in a day.
The Instagram project went so well that the Marketing team wanted to jump on the momentum and had the Design team create NFL infographics for Facebook to begin the next NFL season. The Marketer in charge of the file requested that I personally work on this project because of the success of the Instagram templates and my iconography work.
