This giraffe was made in Adobe Illustrator, using a low poly technique with the pen tool over a real photo. It was made to be used as a personal computer background and ended up being used at my old office by a bunch of people who saw it and asked to use it as their background as well. I converted into an iPhone background as well as a wallet.
