Below is a second option that wasn't chosen; a stark difference to the water color forest theme. This was the copy central option where the copy was the majority of the design. The client decided that this version was too boring, even though it had all the animals from the first mockup (below).
This is the first creative that I showed the client, after our original meeting to figure out exactly what she was looking for. I knew she wanted a Fox, and Owl and a Deer, the raccoon was thrown in to round out the animals, into an even four. The acorn, mushroom, and leaves were added for some ambiance to help the client grasp the entire world of our forest theme.
